Citizen science, mobile elements of the genome, mutations and MiniONs. Come learn about genomics and the most modern sequencing techniques used to identify the mobile elements involved in adapting organisms to new environments. This workshop will also have the participation of ESO and high school students who will come from various parts of the state to explain their experience in “Melanogaster: Catch the Fly!”, the first European network of citizen science in adaptation genomics, from the Evolutionary and Functional Genomics group of the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (CSIC-UPF) and La Ciència al Teu Món, with funding from FECYT and ERC (European Research Council).
